Content Creation for Brisbane Businesses…
Great content written by a Brisbane local to build traffic.
Why do I need great content?
Have you ever heard the phrase “content is king”*? Nowhere does it ring more true then in building a quality website that will bring you more traffic and improve your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) rankings.
Having well written, clean copy (blog posts and all the written sections on your website) will help your customers spend more time on your webpage finding the answers they need. The more time customers spend on your site the higher your ranking in searches.
One of the biggest turn offs for customers that will have them leaving your site in droves instead of clicking the “contact us” button is poorly written copy. Incorrect spelling, strange word choices and sentences that sound like they were written by a robot present your website as being unprofessional.
Great copy on the other hand will have customers searching for more of your content to read and can drastically reduce your bounce rate.
Investing in excellent blog posts that are published regularly will keep your customers coming to your website and staying there for longer. It helps to position you and your business as an expert in your field and this in turn will have customers calling to book your services.
*Still wondering who said that? It was Bill Gates back in 1996!
What strategies can I use to build traffic to my website?
SEO or Search Engine Optimisation is key to ranking on the first page of a search. But how does it work?
Google tries to work out how relevant your website is to customers searching for your business in the Brisbane area. It looks at what keywords you are using and how often you use them. It also looks at how long people spend on your website to decide if your website is of value.
One great way to increase your use of key words and the amount of time people spend on your website is blogging.
For blogging to be successful in driving traffic there are a few things to take into consideration:
The length of your blog posts.
How often you post.
How relevant your content is.
Social Media Marketing.
A good starting point is to post at least once a week and as close to the same time as possible.
Blog posts should tend to be longer, around 500 to 1000 words.
Your content should make great use of key words that are relevant to your industry whilst still being interesting for your reader.
And finally social media! It’s not enough to write a blog post on it’s own. Make sure you share it on all your social media channels to drive traffic to it.
Why should I use a Brisbane local?
As a Brisbane Business you’re looking to find people searching for your industry from within Brisbane, Australia, not some far flung part of the world.
Word choices matter and your blog is not going to look like it was written by you if it’s covered in American spelling or word choices e.g. rubbish bin not trash can, thongs not flip-flops etc.
By choosing a Brisbane local to create content for your Brisbane based business you can be sure that your blog posts will be relevant for a Brisbane audience. Want to know more about Cait Newman and my love of Brisbane? Check out my About Me section here.
Blog Posts and Social Media Management Package.
My blog post and social media package involves me writing one blog post a week for you on a topic that is relevant to your business. I require a minimum commitment of two months as it takes around this long to start seeing an improvement in website traffic.
I charge .40 per word. You can choose the length of the article between 500 and 2000 words. This works out better for you as in addition to the actual writing of your post I spend time:
Researching what search terms are trending in your industry.
Researching keywords to use in your article to boost traffic to your website.
Researching for accurate information to present in your blog articles.
Boosting SEO by adding content descriptors and unique URLS
Sharing your content on a range of social media platforms including your Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and any other social media platforms you use.
In consultation with you I will compile a list of potential articles to be written for your blog. Want to check out my blog to get a feel for my writing style? You can read my business blog here or my personal blog here.
